iOS 7: What it means for Enterprise, Education, and Government | iMore:

This is a good article on the changes to iOS and how we can more easily support iPads in our schools. I used to be able to multitask like that on my palm pre, worked great, but might be a battery issue if folks leave too much running. MDMs will now be able to do a lot over the air! very nice update for the enterprise.

  1. We will have to be very careful to get staff members to unlock their iCloud/find my iPad accounts before turning in devices for the summer or at end of employment. Even after a hard reset, a device will still need to be unlocked with the user's iCloud account.

In other words, we could have an iBrick if we don't set a standard procedure for this.

  2. Good call, Jesse. Maybe we'll need to supervise all? As supervise mode turns off activation lock. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5927
